I recently saw RENT at the Alexandra Theater in Braamfontein.This is likely to be one of the best musicals in Johannesburg for the year (if not the decade). The cast was simply staggering. Ilse Klink who plays Joanne Jefferson was flawless in her sinning part and Zane Gillion who plays the ever interesting Angel (a transexual) could compare favorably to the original Broadway actor.
I must say that I am very tempted to go watch it again and am currently listening to the soundtrack as I type this out.
